This year’s theme: HONORING OUR COVID CAREGIVERS

A celebration of all those who worked to make sure we were safe during the Pandemic. Those we honor represent a wide-ranging group: Medical clinics and their doctors, nurses & staff; Orcas Fire & Rescue; the staff at our food markets – making shopping safe; the National Guard putting shots in arms; local businesses following COVID directives; the Food Bank; Kiwanis, Lions Club and Ray’s Pharmacy, along with Orcas Center and many other volunteers helping with testing and vaccines; Orcas Island Community Foundation; Community Resource Center; San Juan County Health & Community Services … and the island residents who looked out for one another by following safe practices. It took an island to get us through this.
If you want to be in this year’s parade please download a copy of the entry form, fill it out and return to the Chamber no later than June 25! We look forward to celebrating with you!
We are so very sorry that circumstances forced a cancellation of fireworks in Eastsound, but we are very pleased to note that there will be Laser Light Show again this year!
It will be held at Mt. Baker Farm. All the details about tickets for the July 4 show are found at the Orcas Center website.
