Saturday, January 12, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Random Howse
— from Anita Orne —
For over half a decade, April and Clyde Duke have operated Random Howse in Eastsound, bringing music, dances, theater, food, drink, and more to grateful islanders. Now, both the Dukes and Random Howse will be moving on to new adventures, but not before one last night of fun and music on Saturday, January 12, and you’re invited.
JP and the OK Rhythm Boys will be bringing their music to the event, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. JP, Gordon, and Anita will, as always, have a wide range of songs and banter for your enjoyment, featuring fiddle, guitar, bass, tight three-part vocal harmonies, and the occasional ukulele, banjo, mandolin, and, of course, saw. Their musical stylings range from originals to hoe-down, swing to waltz, and plenty in between and beyond. You can check out their music at www.jpandtheokrhythmboys.com.
Food and drink will be available for purchase. While there is no set cover charge, the band will be gratefully compensated by your generous tips – “name your own cover charge”….
Reservations strongly suggested – (360) 376-1111. More information: kookaburra51@hotmail.com or watch JP and the OK Rhythm Boys’ Faceboook page. Join us for this historic, fun “Clyde and April’s Last (Random Howse) Hurrah” evening!
