Sat., Jan., 11, 6-8 p.m., Random Howse
— from Anita Orne —
Brush off the winter blues, relax after the busy holiday season, and come join JP and the OK Rhythm Boys at their first performance of the new year! JP and the “boys” will be playing at Random Howse Restaurant in Eastsound on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 6 to 8 pm.
JP and the OK Rhythm Boys features the fine, fiery, sweet and swinging fiddling of JP Wittman, ably backed by Gordon Koenig and Anita Orne on bass and guitar (and occasional mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and saw). They all sing, in soaring 3-part harmonies, as well.
The evening promises to be a grand one, with plenty of swing tunes, waltzes and hoedowns, jazz standards and originals, toe-tappers and tear-inducers.
All yours, to enjoy while supping on the fun food and sipping on the fine drinks offered in the beautiful surroundings of Random Howse. You can check out the band online.
Reservations are recommended: 376-1111.

That would be the 3rd show or more of 2014, since we have music tonight and next Friday night. Or the 5th if you count our Thursday night live music at open mic… Next Friday is Live Music: Pete Jordan of Cloud Person @ Doe Bay Café. 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Great to welcome Random Howse and to welcome anyone who wants to come out to visit us at Doe Bay… JOE
Joe – the article is referring to JP and the OKRBs’ first show of the new year, not the first show anywhere! (as the first sentence of the article states…)
