Orcas Senior Center, Orcas Island Caregiver Project, and San Juan County Senior Services invite you to a free community presentation on Friday, April 3, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Orcas Senior Center.
The program will be presented by Jerri Wood, Program Manager with the Alzheimer’s Association Washington State Chapter (serving Washington and Northern Idaho) and co-hosted by Debra O’Conner of the Orcas Island Caregiver Project and San Juan County Senior Services.
Jerri will cover two important topics:
- Building Foundations of Caregiving – Explores the role of caregiver, the changes caregivers may experience, how to build a support team, and strategies for managing caregiver stress.
- Exploring Care and Support Services – Examines how to prepare for future care decisions, including respite care, residential care, and end-of-life care.
Whether you are currently caring for a loved one or want to be better prepared for the road ahead, this presentation is for you. Free and open to the community. No registration required. We hope to see you there!
