100 Mile Tour Benefits Orcas Park & Rec

The 22nd Annual Wildlife 100 cycles out on Sunday, August 11. Are you ready to ride?

Dan Christopherson of Wildlife Cycles says, “This is a pretty low-key affair, even after 21 years. Anybody can come and join in at any point in the ride: 32 miles on Orcas,  35 miles on Lopez 33 miles on San Juan.

“The only thing is… you’ve got to make the ferry:

“Meet at Wildlife Cycles on North Beach Road in Eastsound bright and early at 6 a.m. and begin your Orcas Island ride … catch the 9:15 ferry to Lopez (arriving 9:50 a.m.) … Bike Lopez for a bit, and catch the 1:05 p.m. ferry to San Juan Island (arriving 1:55 p.m.)

Then Bike San Juan Island and be back to catch the 5:40 p.m. departure to Orcas Island (arriving 6:55 p.m.). Phew! Tired just thinking about it.”

Grab your bike — or rent one from Wildlife Cycles on North Beach Road in Eastsound and join the multi-island ride. More information on the Wildlife Cycles website:  https://wildlifecycles.com/ or call Dan at 360-376-4708.

The$10 donation for registration goes to Orcas Park & Recreation.
