The Land Bank is looking for two engaged community members to fill at-large positions on the Land Bank Commission. The Commission holds regular, monthly meetings on the third Friday of the month, and the seven commissioners serve staggered, four-year terms. Guiding documents are Ordinance 142-1990 and Ord. 21-2008.

About the Conservation Land Bank

San Juan County Conservation Land Bank is a voter-approved and funded mandate for the future of San Juan Islands’ natural lands. The Land Bank preserves areas around the county that have environmental, agricultural, aesthetic, and cultural value, and acts as the mechanism to implement the acquisition of various real property interests in conservation areas as authorized by law.
