The Orcas Island Artworks features Sumi ink paintings by Jacqueline Kempfer through the month of July.
Her black and white paintings of Orcas Island scenes are made with a traditional Asian ink made from soot, water and glue. The compressed Sumi ink stick is ground with water on a suzuri stone and applied with water to the surface of the paper.
The Artworks is open daily from 10 to 6.
