Summer Concerts on The Village Green, a joint venture between Orcas Center and Doe Bay, continue June 27 with a double bill featuring solo performer Jacob Miller, Tony Furtado, and Stephanie Schneiderman. Showtime starts at 6 p.m., and is free to the public –- although donations are appreciated. (www.OrcasCenter.org/donate)

After seven years leading a jazz sextet and performing both internationally and throughout North America, Jacob Miller now focuses his efforts on a different kind of songwriting and storytelling. His passion, voice and laid-back demeanor create an intimate connection with audiences far and wide. With an affinity for minimalist pop and firm roots planted in American traditional music, Jacob crafts a timeless sound unique to his voice, style and abilities. In 2020, Jacob was also a featured performer on NBC’s The Voice; working with Nick Jonas and James Taylor.

Jacob Miller, Tony Furtado, and Stephanie Schneiderman will be performing live at Eastsound’s Village Green at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 27. Visit www.OrcasCenter.org for more information.

Tony Furtado and Stephanie Schneiderman don’t often perform together as they have thriving solo careers. Stephanie began with a coveted spot in the Lilith Fair. From there, she went on to receive extensive NW radio play, tour internationally, and earn music placements in numerous films and primetime TV shows, including Felicity, Vampire Diaries and many more.

Tony is an evocative and soulful singer, a wide-ranging songwriter and a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist adept on banjo, cello-banjo, slide guitar and baritone ukulele who has performed throughout the world at top venues and appeared at such prestigious music festivals as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Jazz Aspen, Kerrville Folk Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Sisters Folk Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and countless others.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Tony Furtado and Stephanie Schneiderman have been streaming live concerts from their living room in a series they call Thursday Nights Live featuring folk/Americana/pop/soul inspired original songs — a live-stream show that reconnects and engages their fan-base from all over the world. They are excited to bring their collaborative efforts to Orcas Island as part of the Summer Concert Series.

Concert seating will be on a first come/first serve basis for groups up to six, and there will be designated “pods” to abide by county guidelines for social distancing. Due to the ever-changing COVID regulations, make sure you check www.OrcasCenter.org for any updates before heading to the venue.
