All Island singers are invited to come take part in a weekend gospel choir on July 29 and 30 under the direction of gospel/jazz vocalist, composer, conductor and pianist Stephen Newby.
Gospel music is music of the spirit. It transcends religion and speaks to our soul. This summer as part of SummerFest Newby will lead a Gospel Choir, and all Orcas Island singers are invited to join.
We’ll rehearse Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30 at 4 p.m. and perform Saturday night at 7 p.m. Please call the community church office to sign up (376-6422) so we know how many to prepare for.
