Jim Shaeffer-Bauck conducts Island Sinfonia at Orcas Center on May 20
Island Sinfonia will perform their annual spring concert at the Orcas Center on Sunday, May 20 at 3 pm.
Under the directorship of Jim Shaffer-Bauck, the orchestra will perform “Valse Fantasie” by Glinka, “12 German Dances (no. 6 and 12 only)” by Beethoven, “Slavonic Dance No. 6” by Dvorak, “Overture Theodora” by Handel and several pieces for a brass ensemble.
The orchestra includes musicians from Orcas, Shaw, Lopez, and San Juan Island. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Orcas Center box office Tues-Fri between noon and 3 p.m. or online at https://orcascenter.org/events/island-sinfonia-2018/
