Congratulations to Island Market – winner of the Orcas Island Education Foundation’s 2025 Grilled Cheese Showdown. Their “Hot Lunch Jam” (Orcas Bakery sourdough, Girl Meets Dirt Hot Damn Pepper Jam, gruyere, Cypress Grove fromage blanc, arugula, and bacon) was favorite of the 200 community members who came, ate, and gave. We are thankful for their support.
Big shoutout to the other teams: Madden Surbaugh and Cole Sisson (Doe Bay Wine Company, the crew from the Peach Pit, the Haug family, Lisa Walters Sweetcraft Bakeshop, and Principal Sharman & Colin Ensminger. ALL their sandwiches were delicious. And we thank them.
