||| FROM RACHEL LAMBERT for ISLAND HOSPITAL |||

Island Hospital will host a virtual community briefing Thursday, September 9 at 5:30 on the current state of COVID-19 in our region. Chief Executive Officer Charles Hall, MSN, MBA and Chief Medical Officer Jason Hogge, MD will be leading the briefing, which will be held via WebEx.

The briefing will include the most current information on COVID-19, including case counts and hospitalizations, vaccines, the Delta variant, and testing. Hall and Hogge will address questions from participants, which can be submitted via the chat feature or sent in advance via email.

“It’s crucial that our community have the most recent facts. We have been severely affected by the pandemic, and we’re seeing the strongest surge ever,” Hall said. “Our goal is to help educate community members so that we can all stay healthy and prevent spreading the virus.”

Additional information about COVID-19 can be found on the Island Hospital website, including testing and vaccination locations, along with an extensive FAQ section: www.islandhospital.org/. A link to a recording of the briefing will be placed on this page for those who are unable to attend the live event.

Questions for panelists can be submitted in advance to: marketing@islandhospital.org.
