Maria Bullock’s Island Aerial Acrobatics are back! Their new production, In Your Dreams, runs April 29 and 30 at 6:30 pm on Center Stage at Orcas Center.
In Your Dreams follows a group of friends (the advanced aerialists class) at a sleepover. Each dream features one of the many different classes from the Island Aerial Acrobatic program. The aerialists of all ages and skill levels, will incorporate silks, hammocks, aerial hoops, and surprise you with their floor routines as well. In Your Dreams is a culmination of many hours of hard work by this year’s group of 60 aerialists.
Maria Bullock has been teaching aerial classes on Orcas Island for seven years. The program, starting with just one class per week, has grown to over 11 classes per week—ages 5 through adult. Originally the classes focused on aerial silks, but Maria has added aerial hoops, hammocks, tumbling, and partner acro-balance. The island is fortunate to have this non-competitive, strength and confidence building, artistic option available. Maria has created a true “silks family.” Come watch them fly!
