||| FROM JEFFRY STEELE for EMMANUEL EPISCOPAL CHURCH |||

12 noon, Wednesday, August 7, Emmanuel Church, 218 Main St, Eastsound

Jeffry Steele performs on 8-string guitar music written by J.S. Bach originally for solo violin and cello (BWV 1001 & 1012) with selected movements interpreted in Eurythmy by Andrea Preiss. Eurythmy is expressive movement developed by Rudolph and Marie Steiner for performance, Waldorf education and as a healing art.

As with other performances on this weekly Music at Emmanuel series, a free will offering is taken to send local youth to music camp. This program offers a preview of the full-length program “Bach Heals: Music by J. S. Bach with expressive movement and Poetry” taking place later this month.
