||| FROM SAN JUAN MAKERS GUILD |||

We are fortunate to have the INSPIRE WA team coming to Orcas to help us learn more about upcoming funding opportunities and strategic initiatives that support the Arts in Washington. Rather than many of us taking a ferry to Friday Harbor – they are coming to us! Please consider attending this drop-in event to learn about time specific as well as long term cultural funding strategies.
Here is the August 23 meet up information, including guidance about the upcoming  Working Washington grant due Sept 9:
Sponsored by the Department of Commerce, Inspire Washington will be visiting six regions across the state in August and September. These four-day residencies will be focused on building back the cultural economy and finding creative ways to spur recovery. The agenda for the residencies include Town Halls to share and get feedback from the local community on Inspire WA’s objectives in the 2023 Legislative Session, meet with lawmakers and cultural businesses, and hold open office hours to provide support for the Working Washington 5 grant program and meet cultural partners.
