— from Governor Inslee’s Office —
Gov. Jay Inslee issued a proclamation today related to the state’s contact tracing efforts and personal information protection.
Proclamation 20-64 exempts personally identifiable information collected by COVID-19 case investigators from public disclosure. The proclamation does not provide additional exemptions for employees or volunteers who are conducting the contact tracing work, as the Public Records Act already exempts many types of personal information relating to public employees and volunteers.
“The success of the response to the COVID-19 epidemic depends in part on the free flow of information and individuals’ willingness to share information and cooperate with public health authorities,” Inslee said. “Ensuring the protection of a person’s personally identifiable information may determine whether that person will fully cooperate with COVID-19 case investigators and contact tracers.”
“While we believe that COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing information, and the personally identifiable information that is gathered as a part of that work, is already exempt under the Public Records Act, we need certainty because ensuring the protection of a person’s personally identifiable information is critical to our COVID-19 efforts,” said Secretary of Health John Wiesman.
The proclamation will expire on August 29.

Isn’t it time we get a glimpse of the truth? The Corona-virus narrative has turned into a worldwide political tool. For what purpose?
Look at these stats:
Corona-virus deaths this year in the U.S. so far: 155,660
Tragic, But..
CNBC: “More than 250,000 people in the US die every year because of medical mistakes…”
There were 647,457 Heart Disease Deaths in the US 2017.
Total US Cancer Deaths in 2017 was 599,108.
Total US accidents (unintentional injuries) in 2017 were 169,936.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm
The normal Flu alone in 2018 killed 80,000 people in the US.
Yet the whole world is shut down?
And because of that…
“The U.N. is predicting 30 million children will die of starvation this year as a direct result of the economic crisis.”

Hello?
The mask wearing is also ridiculous. Most people with healthy immune systems who get this thing experience it as a mild flu. Many (most?) people catch it and don’t even notice it. 160,000 US deaths divided by 330,000,000 million people in the US is about a .0005% chance a US citizen will die of the Corona-virus!!
Right now, statistically, you are more likely to die of an unintentional accident. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm
You are statistically more than 1 1/2 times more likely to die of medical malpractice in the US. Isn’t that funny, in a sort of morose way?
All these stats are easy to find. They are everywhere. When you really use some independent thought, it’s ridiculous.
Anyone with a serously compromised immune system should take precautions, because of many vectors, and perhaps should self quarantine… But really, I know I’m not the only one who sees through this. What is the agenda here? Does anyone know? Something is going on here.
Yes, The emperor has no clothes on.
Domenic says, “Something is going on here.”
Yes. He’s right.
What’s going on is called “a power trip.” It’s also called, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” And, “But we’ve got to look as if we’re doing something!”
As an older person with compromised pulmonary and cardiac systems, I can see the need for masks…on some people, at least some of the time.
But on everybody, always? Probably not.
And six feet of separation? And not closely associating with people not of your household?
Seems like micro-managing to me. And futility. But it does give the appearance of “doing something.”
Sadly, Herman Cain and Louie Gohmert are unable to help explain “what is going on”.
I didn’t realize we had so many experienced infectious disease experts and epidemiologists on the island. I can’t even, as my granddaughter might say, BUT your feelings and beliefs are not sufficient reason to expose others. And the notion that it’s only a flu has been thoroughly debunked. Some people might have few or no symptoms, but they CARRY the virus, spreading it to others, some of whom may not be so lucky. Perhaps if we had had a smart, national response to the pandemic instead of this President’s typical lying and deflecting and bloviating, we might know a lot more about the virus. We don’t. Nor do we have sufficient tests–but a long shot–nor PPE. The power trip here is not being taken by the responsible governors, but rather by a President who put his hardly-worked-a-day-in-his-life son-in-law in charge of the government’s response.
