The County should long ago have funded the critical services it always puts on the chopping block from its regular revenues, rather than the special emergency funding mechanisms. Instead, we have the ritual “if you don’t give us the levy lift, we’ll take away services to seniors and kids!” Is anyone aware of where to information regarding total County spending over the past 15 years? Most folks haven’t yet recovered from the jolt of our recent sizable property tax increases.
