The evening was clear and sunny with a breeze billowing the big tent as guests sat down, many of them in hippie gear, to a salmon dinner cooked by Juliana Capdeville, followed by an auction that raised $46,000 for the Center last night, Saturday, July 18.
Approximately 170 Orcas Islanders purchased tickets to the event, which included a pre-dinner reception, performance by Abbey Road LIVE! and after-performance party.
Orcas Center Board Member Nanae Fraelick masterminded the evening. Velma Doty coordinated the dinner, and April Duke directed the wait staff.

It was reported that everyone in the Center’s Main Stage hall was dancing by the end of the evening.
Abbey Road LIVE! will perform again this evening at Orcas Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $24, $16 for Orcas Center members, and $10 for students.
