Learning How to Fall is the latest in a series of evocative films called “Soul Biographies” crafted by English filmmaker and poet, Nic Askew. A Minneapolis resident, Askew travels the world working with organizations, foundations, and individuals to help them express the depth of their humanity and passion for life. “In my soul biographies I have set out to capture the soul of the human race in all of its shades and from all four corners so that we might see ourselves reflected in each other,” says Askew. “My films serve as an opportunity to truly wonder about the experience of our own lives.”

Following the screening, Askew will demonstrate the method he uses to film his soul biographies through interviewing and live filming.
