Saturday, April 22, 7 a.m., Cascade Lake
— from Orcas Adventures —
Orcas Adventures is proud to sponsor the Bill Yarlott Youth Fishing Derby on opening day of fishing season on Cascade Lake in Moran State Park. Join us for a memorable day on the lake where Rainbow, Kokanee & Cutthroat are brought into the boat. Located in the stunning San Juan Islands this is an event to remember.
The Derby is open to children 15 and younger. It is a free event and starts at 7 a.m. on Cascade Lake Apr. 22. Children under 14 do not need a fishing license. Fish must be caught by the child and bought in for weigh-in at the Cascade Shelter by 11 a.m. Children must handle their own fish.
A free pancake breakfast is provided at 10 a.m. It is also a “Free Day” at the park and no park pass is needed.
This is a sponsored independent fishing event (we do not provide fishing gear and/or boats). Please dress warmly.
