||| FROM MANDY TROXEL for LUM FARM |||

The Lum Farm Tree Sale is about to begin! Bring your friends and family to pick out a tree, say hello to the critters in the self-guided farm walk, and enjoy some hot apple cider. There will be hundreds of trees in all shapes and sizes: Noble, Frasier, Douglas Fir and Nordman trees from 2 ft. to 10 ft., sourced from Alpine Meadows Tree Farm in Deming, Washington.

Tree sale hours are Thursday through Saturday, 12pm – 5pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm at 1071 Crow Valley Rd. Sales begin Friday, November 28, the day after Thanksgiving. No early birds please – farm chores need to be done before the sale opens each day. We also ask that dogs be kept in vehicles.

The Lum Farmstand will be open during tree sale hours, so please stop by for island-grown meats, goat’s milk cheese and ice cream, and apple-y delights such as cider and pie. Lum Farm swag, wooly gifts and ornaments by Bossy’s Feltworks are also on hand. Trees are first come first served, but you may order food items online at www.lumfarmorcas.com for pickup at the farm.

Food for your holiday table, gifts for loved ones and a tree for your home; you can get a lot crossed off that list with one visit to Lum Farm! There are gift certificates for trees available at the Orcas Island Resource Center. For more information, please visit www.lumfarmorcas.com or email lumfarmorders@gmail.com.
