Monday, Sept. 13, the 34-car Hiyu will replace the 87-car Evergreen State as the inter-island vessel while the Evergreen State undergoes necessary repairs.

Department of Transportation Ferries Secretary David Moseley said, “Please plan ahead and arrive early for inter-island sailings. Repairs on the Evergreen State are expected to be complete by the end of the week, after which it will return to the inter-island route. I apologize for the inconvenience this may pose to some of our customers.”
