Edward R. Murrow, flanked by his older brothers Lacey and Dewey

The Remarkable Murrow Brothers — Lacey, Dewey, and Edward — came to Bow, in the Skagit Valley, from North Carolina as children. They all attended Washington State College (now WSU).

While Edward R. Murrow may be best known of the brothers for his radio messages from London during World War II and subsequent television broadcasting, his older  brothers also had illustrious careers in engineering, aviation, mining and business.

Museum Curator Clark McAbee will share the history and the significant contributions that the brothers made to Washington State.

Admission is free; the History Matinee is sponsored by the Orcas Island Historical Society.
