The ladies have done it again! The Orcas Island Historical Society raffles off a beautiful quilt each year to help fund the operation of the Society’s two Museums. This year’s quilt is a magnificent picture quilt of a bald eagle that is on display in the entry lobby of the Pioneer Museum.
Raffle tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and are for sale at the Pioneer Museum or in the Historical Society’s office. Tickets can also be purchased at the Historical Society’s booth at the Farmers Market on August 13th or September 3rd.
This year’s quilt was made by Gail Mikuchonis, Betty Willis Marcum’s daughter. Gail quilts and teaches crafts in Puyallup. Enter early and enter often to win this beautiful quilt which is sure to become a treasured family heirloom. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Historical Society’s Annual Meeting at the end of the year.
