Here at the Orcas Island Historical Museum we are in the midst of a busy season of events and activities celebrating the history of our beautiful island and its people. The 4th of July – spend it with your local Museum– join us On the Green for Historical Days – BRING YOUR WHOLE FAMILY.
Live Auction Items are Needed — Appeal to the Community
Do you have an Antique Auction Item of Special and Significant Auctionable Donations for the Annual Live Auction?
Phone the Museum now to donate your esteemed item to the Museum, 360-376-4849. Items need to be submitted by June 26th.
Events Include:
11 AM – Presentation of the Colors by the American Legion Color Guard
Flag Ceremony Hosted by the Eagle Forum — scholarship prize-winning essays will be read by Orcas High School graduates
11:30 – Live Music
12:30 – The Museum’s own Live Auction, with special iems and antiques donated from local families and businesses, including the Museum volunteers and members. Live auctioneer and high school teacher Mark Padbury is Auctioneer for this event. Auction proceeds will support the Museum. The event promises to be filled with fun and surprises!
1:15 – 3 pm – The Harvey Family Old-Fashioned Logging Show
