…HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 2 PM PST MONDAY…
* WHAT…South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph expected.
* WHERE…North Coast, San Juan County, Western Skagit County, Western Strait of Juan De Fuca, and Western Whatcom County.
* WHEN…From 4 AM to 2 PM PST Monday.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Remaining foliage on trees in the region could result in higher that usual impacts for winds of this magnitude.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
