The San Juan Island Grange invites the public to a Fireside Chat on Heating with Wood on Thursday, November 20, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Grange Hall in Friday Harbor.
Local residents Roger Ellison and Adam Greene will lead an informal, solutions-focused conversation on how responsible forest and grassland management can reduce fire risk and strengthen local resilience. Discussion topics include safe wood stove operation, sourcing and seasoning local firewood, and low-tech methods for sustainable harvesting.
