March 31 is the last day to buy health insurance on the new health exchange for coverage this year. Do you need help applying for insurance? Are you having trouble using the Washington HealthPlanFinder? Have you tried to apply online and received an error message?
Trained volunteers will be at the Orcas Public Library to help you this Saturday from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. in the Community Room. To get help, bring the social security numbers for all members of your family and a copy of your most recent tax return with you.
In addition, there are three locations in Eastsound where islanders who have been trained on using the Washington HealthPlanFinder are available to help you apply online for your insurance. To get help, just contact: Orcas Medical Center (376-2561), Orcas Family Health Center (376-7778) or Orcas Family Connections (376-3184).
