||| FROM ANNE PRESSON for ORCAS ISLAND HEALTH CARE DISTRICT |||
As a local government entity that imposes a regular property tax levy, the OIHCD is required to hold a public hearing on the setting of the FY ’22 proposed Budget and Levy. At its Regular Board meeting on Tuesday, November 2nd, the Board will hold their public hearing. Superintendent Presson will present the proposed FY ’22 Budget and Levy to the public, and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. After conclusion of the hearing, the Commissioners will take action and adopt the 2022 Budget and Levy.
Prior to the hearing, the District is also required to make the budget document available. The FY ’22 draft Budget and Summary of Assumptions can be accessed by clicking on the links below.

Can the Commisioners really consider public input if they vote right after the hearing? Perhaps this means after due consideration and deliberation of the issues raised.
