Saturday September 12th at the Market Garden Nursery! Last “Ask a Master Gardener“ for 2026

Do you have a question about your soil, have a problem with your fruit tree, or are thinking about starting a garden? Is something bugging your plants, or you are curious about identifying a plant or insect? Master Gardeners will be staffing the last Ask A Master Gardener event on Orcas for the year to help answer your questions and collect plant problem samples.
Orcas Master Gardeners will be at the Market Garden Nursery Saturday September 12, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
After September 12 you can still contact the San Juan County/WSU Extension office in Friday Harbor at 360-378-4414 for help with garden questions.
If you have a plant with a problem or want a plant or insect identified, follow these steps: Put your problem plant in a sealed plastic bag, or your insect in a container. Keep it cool. Fill out and attach a plant problem or plant/insect identification form.
These forms can be found at the Ask A Master Gardener event or on the website: https://www.mgfsjc.org/ Please note, samples cannot be analyzed without a form. Bring your sample to the next Ask A Master Gardener event.
