Here are some basic facts. Gregory Ayers has far more formal education than I. He has a Ph.D. and is an M.D. If you need research on or a paper written on Atrial Fibrillation, Gregory Ayers is your man. Gregory is well qualified and respected in his field. His volunteer work on Orcas is also to be commended.I on the other hand have been operating businesses in what I call the real world for the last 45 years. I am both a general contractor and currently a full time electrical contractor. I receive 7 sewer bills and am a resident in the recently annexed Highlands/Rosario water district. I have been dealing with the sewer and water district for many years having also paid for two new connections.
Being well educated in an unrelated field does not automatically mean you are the right choice for this Board. Most of us have suffered with the illogical decisions some board of directors made, that was not in our own interest. This will not happen with me. Logic and fairness are my strongest suits.
I know how to manage money and produce projects in the most cost effective manner. I will bring these unique skills to the sewer and water district. Those affected by decisions made by the Eastsound Sewer and Water District Board will be well served to have me guarding their interests. I have long held the belief that just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.
