Handel’s Messiah sing-along to be done “Karaoke style.”
Bring your score or come early and borrow one.
This free community event first began three years ago when a few of us (Jan Ehrlichman, Tina Rose and myself) were having Thanksgiving dinner together. We thought that it would be fun to do a Messiah sing. We asked around and got some positive feedback.
With the help of Faith Heath and Pastor Dick Staub, we engaged Orcas Community Church for the venue.
Roger Sherman offered to play the piano but, unfortunately, he is not available this year so we will be singing with a recording, karaoke-style.
This event first took place in 2010 and 2011 with a hiatus last year. The first year 88 people participated and about 55 the second year.
