Monday, Sept. 26 at Island Market, Eastsound

— from Jim Duffield–

Fall is nearly here and it’s time to start putting things away, but the garage is already packed. Pete Moe, Executive Director of Orcas Recycling Services, recommends you consider donating items to the Skagit Habitat for Humanity Store truck. “It looks like The Exchange will take a little longer than we had hoped, so if you really need to make some room at home or your business, the Habitat truck is a good option. We’ve coordinated for the truck to be back on Orcas to help out until The Exchange is ready to go.”

The truck will once again be at the Island Market parking lot from noon to 3 PM, or until the truck is full, on Monday the 26th of September. Donors are asked to check the website skagithabitat.com and then the Store tab to see what items may be accepted by the volunteer drivers. If you have questions, contact Habitat’s local point of contact, Duff, at 360-376-3032 or tpiduff@hotmail.com.
