Guest Column: Senator Rankin Thanks His Supporters

I want to begin this final day by thanking each of you. Each of you who knocked on doors, attended events, made phone calls, gave your hard-earned money or gave me your support and encouragement. You have given me the strength and friendship I needed to continue this fight to ensure that we live in a state that protects and advances women’s reproductive rights, equality, Washington jobs and the environment. A state that continues to create opportunities for new jobs and prioritizes education – from K-12 to our technical colleges and universities. You have demonstrated great vision and have helped critical State Senate races outside of our own district – making sure I return to a majority in Olympia, and you have been powerful advocates, tirelessly dedicated to ensuring we have a strong pro-choice, pro-equality, pro-jobs Governor and President that will lead us forward and not backwards.
