Continuing their innovative programs, the Farm to Cafeteria folks at Orcas School  presents Chef Charles from The Kitchen who will be preparing and serving lunch at school this Friday, the 13th of November.

On the menu will be chili, with or without Lopez Island Meat ( and lots of veggies from  Orcas Farmers), corn bread with eggs from Black Dog Farm Local Plum-and-Apple Tart ( apples from Old Orchard and Red Rabbit farms) and apple cider from Golden Eye Farm.

“Encourage your children to eat cafeteria that day, parents and teachers are also welcome,” says Farm to Cafeteria program manager Bruce Orchid. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the School Cafeteria.

Lunch costs $5, and salads are available for $3.  Call 376-2284.
