The Funhouse announces its continuing and new spring classes, starting in March. Some classes are free with Funhouse membership:
Adult/Teen Classes
Photoshop. Hannah Adams Collier.
Learn how to use this top of the line tool to customize and repair your photography or create web and print graphics. Learn to use layers and other special tools for beginner through advanced users.
Wednesdays. March 9-30. 6-8 p.m.
Cost: $100 members, $120 nonmembers.
Drawing Class. Jo Anderson. A class that will introduce formal drawing techniques, various drawing materials, and teach students how to determine their own subject matter. Instructor will guide students in various methods but also encourage each artist to develop their unique perspective.
Thursdays. March 10-31. 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $100 members. $120 nonmembers. Ages: 13 & up.
Babysitters Training Course.
Students will learn the basics of babysitting including expected responsibilities, safe play, what to do in an emergency, and much more! Bring your own lunch.
Saturday March 5th, 10 a.m. – 3:30.
Cost: $20. Ages: 12 & up.
Kid Classes
Acting out in Animation. Davis Limbach. Participants will practice creating animation by hand using various mediums. We will execute movements of simple characters and objects by acting them out and observing the mechanics involved. The concept of animated loops and their applications will be introduced. The results will be recorded digitally and presented during the last class.
Wednesdays. March 9-April 12. 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Cost: $60 + $5 supplies. Age:10 & up.
Messy Art Class for Toddlers.
Bring your toddler for some fun in our Art Yurt. Children and caregivers get a chance to experiment with different art materials, textures and colors. Facilitator will set out craft materials and project examples and encourage toddlers to create.
Thursdays. March 10-31. 11 a.m – 1 p.m.
Cost: $5 per class. Ages: 2 & up.
Sewing Class. Sara Farish.
Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and work on simple projects.
Saturdays. March 5 – April 9. 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Cost: $60. Ages: 8 & up.
Baby/Toddler Playgroup.
Tuesdays. 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Birth – Five. FREE with Funhouse Membership.
Homework Club.
Monday-Thursday. 3:30-4:30 p.m.

After School Science & Art Connections. Lana Hickman.
Kids are guided through fun projects that are educational and engaging.
