Ms. Mary is excited to be back teaching the early childhood community as well. “I have missed being connected with this age group and sharing the space musically with the families. It is such a unique experience to get all the families together with their little ones and share music.”
“When children have a regular experience of music at an early age, especially with their parents, grandparents, all the adults and older kids they love and trust, they reap the benefits of that throughout their entire life! Neural pathways are ripe for learning and bringing in music in an environment of love, safety, and trust gives them the confidence as well as the musical tools (like keeping a steady beat and singing in tune) to have a relationship with music going forward. Having taught Music Together for ten years at The Funhouse, I can attest to those benefits now because I have students in private lessons who were in my Music Together classes- and they’re doing awesome! Aside from that, it builds community, which we all must admit we badly need. And, it’s FUN!”
