The Visual Arts Committee (VAC) of Orcas Center is honored to welcome Children of the Setting Sun with their exhibit, “From Time Immemorial” with an opening reception and film screening on Friday, March 29 starting at 5:30pm in the Madrona Room.

Children of the Setting Sun’s mission is to create and share Indigenous stories of gratitude, generosity, and respect. They empower the minds and hearts of future generations. They will be showcasing some of the work of their people and bringing gratitude for all the wonderful opportunities to share. The Lummi people still fish here, canoe here and take care of our ancestors here. This we are grateful for!

Join us as Children of the Setting Sun share the memories of our homeland and deepen understanding of the things they are working towards today. We hope to see you at the Orcas Center March 29 for the opening of this powerful exhibit and film screening. Hyʻshqe!
