Saturday, August 11 — Save the Date, because that is the day the Annual Orcas Island Library Fair comes to the Eastsound Village Green.
Islanders look forward to this event knowing that there will be hundreds of books for sale at very respectable prices. The Friends of the Library sells books donated by Orcas Islanders during the year and enhances our Orcas Island Library with the proceeds.
After you select your reading for the year, stay and enjoy the many other activities during the day. There will be an art auction, entertainment throughout the day, and library-sponsored booths manned by Orcas children, crafts-folk and other vendors and organizations. Booths will take up much of the space on the Village Green alongside our beloved Saturday Farmer’s Market. (Some booth space is still available, contact the Library at 376-4985 or go to www.orcaslibrary.org)
The Fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the BookSale will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
