As of 10:11 p.m., Thursday, June 23: For Friday, June 24, westbound vehicle reservations are fully reserved for the Anacortes 10:20 am through 9:00 pm sailings to Shaw and Orcas.* Vehicle space is available for most departures to Lopez and Friday Harbor. Reserve up to two hours prior to sailing, online at takeaferry.com or by calling 511 to speak with an Information Agent. Walk on space is available for all departures.

Please… Please… WSF, stop putting out press releases that insinuate that you cannot get to the islands. The boats are NOT “fully reserved”! The reservation spaces are full, but the boats are not.
This may make sense to those of us that live this confusing nightmare, but for tourists and visitors, poorly worded press releases lead to $$$$ not even trying to make it to the islands.
Just yesterday, I made a “Fully Reserved” boat, with a 28′ over length truck, as the 12th standby car… after the 20 available drive-up spots were loaded. 32 vehicles made that “fully reserved” boat, many of them tourists that may not have even tried if they read the above press release.
