At this time we are preparing an exhibit to be displayed at the American Legion, 793 Crescent Beach Rd., Eastsound, for Memorial Day week. We are honored to have this opportunity to show our gratitude to those who have given their lives for our freedom and those veterans who served during the war years.
If you have mementoes (uniform, medals, photos, certificates, etc.) you would like to share during Memorial Day week to honor their service, please call Diane Baxter, American Legion Auxiliary Secretary, at 376.5413. The American Legion will be open to the public over the weekend and by special arrangement during the week if desired.
We look forward to honoring our service men and women by sharing these mementoes from Orcas Island veterans and their family members. If you’d like to participate, we will be proud and honored to have you do so.
