Frank Loudin

Island treasure and renowned watercolorist, Frank Loudin has generously offered a wide array of his original watercolor paintings for sale to benefit Orcas Center. Postponed earlier due to COVID precautions, the online auction for these wonderful watercolor landscapes will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 21, running through 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 5.
Patrons will be given the opportunity to purchase a painting at the “Buy Now” price or put in the “Opening Bid” to start the online auction. Over 50 of Frank’s original watercolors will be for sale, with the proceeds benefiting Orcas Center.
The Visual Arts Committee is hosting an Opening Party Sunday, November 21 from 5pm-6:30pm. Attendees will have a chance to meet Frank, hear some of his stories, view his paintings, purchase a limited selection of signed prints, and learn how to bid in the online auction. There will also be a video presentation featuring Frank on a virtual tour of the show.
Mark your calendar for the Closing Party on Sunday, December 5 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. This will be the last chance Islanders will have to make their final and winning bids on the paintings that they love.
For both in-person events, Orcas Center’s COVID policy requires all patrons show proof of vaccination and be masked while indoors.
If you’re unable to attend either the opening or closing party, Orcas Center is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday-Friday for patrons to come and view Frank’s works in-person, or visit www.OrcasCenter.org/Loudin for his online gallery. For bidding assistance, contact the Orcas Center staff at info@orcascenter.org, or 360-376-2281 ext. 1.

PREVIEW PARTY:   Sunday, Nov. 21, 5:00 – 6:30, Orcas Center
