||| FROM SAM GAILEY for ORCAS ISLAND LIBRARY |||
Join us for an interactive community talk on the PEERS Methodology: Fostering Positive and Collaborative Conversations. This one-hour session with Kevin Carter (founder of Inclusion Innovates) will introduce a practical approach to navigating polarizing topics like race, politics, and housing.
Through group activities, personal reflection, and open discussions, we’ll explore how the five phases of PEERS—Pause, Engage, Encourage, Reflect, and Summarize—can help foster understanding, reduce anxiety, and build a more inclusive and collaborative environment. This is a unique opportunity to share your experiences, learn from others, and strengthen our community’s capacity for constructive dialogue.
We welcome your participation and insights. Tuesday, November 12th @ 6:30 at the Orcas Island Public Library.
