George Orser will present a workshop on perspectives on homesteading and small-scale sustainable agriculture on Sunday, July 24 from 1-4 p.m. at Orcas Farm.

The workshop will focus on soil building and whole farm fertility management, including:

  • Composting, compost crops
  • Cover crops, mulch, and mulch production
  • Compost tea, vermiculture (worm bins)
  • Crop rotation

Included will be information on seed saving, raising small livestock, bed scale animal feed production, and growing your own food.

All are invited to come for an in-depth exploration of this homestead/market garden.
