The Orcas Island Park and Recreation District Commission will conduct its first regular public meeting at the Orcas Senior Services Center on Thursday, January 14, at 12:00 P.M.
Directors elected to the new board are Ian Lister, Jim Bredouw, Martha Farish, Vicki Vandermay and Bob Eagan. Future regular public meetings will take place on the second Thursday of each month at times and places yet to be determined.
The Jan. 14 agenda will include the nomination and election of office holders, a period for public comment, and a presentation by County Administrator Pete Rose and County Parks & Recreation Director Dona Wuthnow. Interested persons are encouraged to attend.
