Friday, Nov. 29, 4 – 7 p.m., Eastsound Village
“Eastsound is one of “America’s Top Small Town ArtPlaces 2013“ – ArtPlaceAmerica.org
In a nutshell; Friday November 29th, 4-7pm, local art, music, wine, food, “and fun.” Businesses and Galleries of Eastsound Village will be playing host for a first annual holiday Art Walk. Each year the Chamber of Commerce holds a summer art walk; celebrating local artists, their work, and buying local in our community. This year they decided to take on the holiday season as well, spotlighting local artists, showcasing their work at different businesses and galleries, and contributing to the mentality of buying local this holiday shopping season.
“The holidays are a great time to celebrate the artists of Orcas Island, and to showcase what talented Orcas Island artists have to offer. In the winter, the holidays are the ways we can celebrate and feature the artist’s energy on the island,” said Shannon Borg.
There will be wine & snacks at galleries & shops, special offers on gifts for the holidays, and “classic Orcas camaraderie.” The event is sponsored by the Orcas Chamber of Commerce, and there will be maps available at all the business that will be involved.
Businesses participating in the Art Walk include:
- Artworks
- The Barnacle
- Chez Chloe
- Crow Valley Pottery
- Darvill’s Bookstore

- Peter C Fisher Gallery
