The Orcas Fire Department Commissioners had been scheduled to announce their recommendations for the contract for the [intlink id=”fire-dept-extends-bid-submission-deadline” type=”post”]Deer Harbor Fire Station[/intlink] construction at tonight’s regular meeting, at 7:30 p.m. in the Eastsound Fire Hall.
However, when the bids were opened at a special meeting last week, all of the bids were substantially higher than expected.
The bids will be reviewed and discussed at tonight’s meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
