On Apr. 20, 2017, the Orcas Island Fire and Rescue received a report from a resident stating concerns that someone was on or near their property. Due to some miscommunication, it was thought the individual may be an Orcas Island Fire and Rescue member trying to conduct fire department business.
The resident was able to confirm that this was not an Orcas Island Fire and Rescue member and no one was trying to impersonate a firefighter/EMT.
