Deb Lund returns to Orcas Island this weekend, courtesy of the Orcas Island Writers' Festival

The Orcas Island Writers Festival is hosting a one-day writing class for teens and adults, taught by author Deb Lund, called “Writer’s Workshop with Deb Lund: Fiction Fire! For Teens and Adults.” The class will be held Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Orcas Island Public Library. Tickets are $65.

The hands-on activities at the workshop will provide the kindling you need to ignite new stories. Create characters with unique voices, sizzling settings, and plots that keep readers blazing through your pages.

Deb Lund is the author of several picture books, including her celebrated “Dino” series and her latest book, Monsters on Machines. She will also read at Darvill’s Bookstore on Sunday, June 6 from 2 – 3 p.m. in the children’s book section of the bookstore.

Registration for the workshop is available online at www.deblund.eventbrite.com. If space is available, tickets will also be available at the door on Saturday for $75/ticket.
