The Food Bank is now open for distribution two days a week – Tuesdays and Fridays – from 3-6 p.m.
— from Orcas Island Food Bank —
More than 220 community members–the most ever–received food Friday afternoon from the Food Bank. Every family received food according to their family size, and people were delighted with the meals provided by the Catkin Cafe and The Kitchen that were given out as well. While funds last, we will be providing meals from different excellent island restaurants as well as bread from local bakeries like Endswell and Roses. And once growing season begins, our Island farms will also be bringing local produce.
The Food Bank is now open for distribution two days a week – Tuesdays and Fridays – from 3-6 p.m. Community members who need food may come both days.
Thanks to each of our invaluable volunteers for the incredible work they continue to do to help so many!

And I saw that the Market has put out their donation slips again so shoppers can contribute money to the Bank. All of us can be a part of feeding our neighbors in need.
